Lee Co. Sheriff’s Office arrest man on elder abuse charges

LEE Co., Ga. – On February 19, 2026, the Lee County Sheriff’s Office arrested Keith Michael McEvoy on charges of Exploitation and Intimidation of Disabled Adults, Elder Persons, and Residents.

The investigation began after Adult Protective Services notified the Lee County Sheriff’s Office of allegations involving elder abuse within Lee County. Upon receiving the report, the Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division immediately initiated a thorough investigation into the claims.

During the course of the investigation, detectives developed probable cause to support the allegations. An arrest warrant was subsequently obtained for McEvoy.

The Lee County Sheriff’s Office remains committed to protecting vulnerable members of our community and encourages anyone who suspects abuse, neglect, or exploitation of an elderly or disabled individual to report it immediately.
