Founding Fathers 5K Run and Walk returns to Adel this Saturday

Matthew Crumley,

ADEL, Ga. – Runners and walkers of all experience levels are invited to hit the pavement for a good cause this weekend in Adel. The Founding Fathers 5K Run and Walk takes place Saturday, February 21, at 9 a.m., starting at The Assembly at Adel, located at 601 Massee Post Road.

Organizers say the race is designed for everyone, whether participants are aiming for a personal best or simply enjoying a relaxed morning walk. All proceeds from the event benefit Speed the Light, a missions organization that helps provide transportation and communication equipment for missionaries serving communities around the world.

In celebration of Presidents Day, participants are encouraged to dress as a Founding Father, with a $100 cash prize awarded for the best costume. Registration is $40.

Advance registration is available online, and those with questions can contact The Assembly at Adel at 229-896-3935 or email brett@theassemblyadel.com.
