Girl missing from Dawson, believed to have tried to get a ride to Atlanta
DAWSON, Ga. – A 17-year-old girl was reported to be missing on Thursday, January 22, 2026 by the Dawson Police Department (DPD).
Police say she is believed to have attempted to get a ride to Atlanta.
Alanna Harvey was last seen on the afternoon of Wednesday, January 21 walking on Center Street in Dawson.
Harvey’s guardian says she has mood disorders and suffers from depression, according to DPD.
Officials say Harvey’s description as a Black female with a light complexion; stands approximately 5 feet tall, weighs about 115 pounds; has black braids with curly shoulder-length hair.
Anyone with information regarding her whereabouts is urged to contact DPD immediately at 229-995-4414. DPD’s Lieutenant Stultz is the case officer, according to the attached missing person’s flyer.
