Freezing start then a seasonable afternoon with plenty of sunshine New Year’s Day before big changes arrive for the first weekend of 2026. Please celebrate responsibly! Be careful with fireworks! Make sure to have a water source nearby given ongoing drought conditions. Showers arrive late Friday evening that lingers with rain and embedded thunderstorms likely on Saturday. This storm system will be fast-moving, but an energetic one, so cannot totally rule out a few strong t-storms. Rainfall totals will average a half of an inch to one inch or less. Warmer and remaining rain free for first full week of the New Year.
