South Georgia Weather Authority Forecast: November 24, 2025
A full course of weather is on the table just in time for Thanksgiving holiday week. Sounds like a broken record? That’s because it is. Albany, GA has set new record highs 3 of the last 5 days this mid-late November. Last Tuesday and Wednesday we we’re just shy of a record, and ever since then it’s been 10°-15°+ above normal. Tuesday will be last opportunity to tie or break a record for awhile as colder air returns for Thanksgiving/Black Friday/Small Business Saturday weekend. But, it turns milder, but maybe not quite as warm for first week of December. There’s a Marginal Risk (Level 1/5) of strong to severe t’storms late Tuesday PM into Wednesday AM. Isolated damaging wind gusts, small hail, heavy downpours, and frequent lightning are primary threats. Although the threat is very low, a brief tornado cannot be ruled out. Stay tuned for updates. Next Freeze comes Black Friday 11/28/25 with Frosty conditions also for Small Business Saturday 11/29/25. So, bundle up if you’re heading out shopping early to catch those deals. Protect tender plants/vegetation Thanksgiving night. Milder with showers to end out the holiday weekend into much of next week.
