South Georgia Weather Authority Forecast: October 7, 2025

Unseasonable warmth and humidity lasts mid-week. Considerable cloudiness with a chance of rain showers Wednesday PM and Thursday AM associated with cold front. Real Fall feel arrives with cooler temperatures and drier air mass for the remainder of the week into this weekend and early next week. Highs in the 70s and lows in the 50s.

The tenth named storm of the season, Jerry formed today over the central Atlantic. Jerry may brush the northern Leeward Islands with Tropical Storm conditions. Jerry is forecast to strengthen as it turns northward, but is expected to pass to the east of Bermuda. A trough of low pressure to cross over the Yucatán Peninsula and emerge over the Bay of Campeche has a low chance of some slow development. A frontal boundary and upper trough may spawn a Nor’easter that could slam the U.S. East Coast this with heavy rains, high winds this weekend. There is an outside chance it may acquire sub-tropical characteristics, but is not being monitored by NHC right now.
