South Georgia Weather Authority Forecast: August 27, 2025
Last comfortable morning then humidity levels rise with increasing rain chances for Friday into the start of the holiday weekend. A chance of rain showers lingers around for Labor Day followed by the arrival of another drier and cooler air mass mid-late next week.
In the tropics, Tropical Storm Fernand (fair-NAHN) has strengthened some today, but will remain a “fish storm” and will soon become post-tropical over the open waters of the northern Atlantic. Elsewhere, tropical cyclone formation is not expected over the next 7 days, but activity could ramp back up by early-mid September near the climatological peak of the hurricane season.
