Man turns himself in, charged with aggravated assault and murder in connection to homicide
ALBANY, Ga. – On July 26, 2025, Edtavis Smith turned himself in at the Law Enforcement Center. After an interview with investigators, he was charged with Aggravated Assault and Murder. He was taken to the Dougherty County Jail.
Smith was wanted in connection with the homicide investigation of Darius Jackson, which occurred on July 25, 2025, in the 1000 block of East Tift Avenue.
