Tifton Council for the Arts is hosting two nights of hands-on fun at Community Craft Night

TIFTON, Ga. – Looking to get creative this summer? The Tifton Council for the Arts invites families, friends, and craft lovers of all ages to their Community Craft Night, taking place on Thursday, July 17 and Saturday, July 19 from 5:30 to 7:30 PM at the Syd Blackmarr Arts Center, located at 255 Love Avenue in Tifton.

This open studio-style event encourages attendees to unwind and explore a variety of self-guided craft stations. Whether you’re an experienced maker or just looking for a relaxing evening activity, there’s something for everyone, from painting mini canvases and making bracelets, to designing bookmarks and sculpting with air-dry clay.

The event is family-friendly, and all supplies and light refreshments are provided. Children under 16 must be accompanied by a guardian.

Admission is just $10 per person or the donation of art supplies valued at $10 or more. Donations must come from a pre-approved list to help prevent an overstock of certain items.

Accepted donation items include:

  • Canvases, paint, and paint brushes

  • Markers, colored pencils, and pens

  • Scrapbooking supplies (stickers, cardstock, stamps, etc.)

  • Fabric and sewing materials

  • Artificial flowers and greenery

  • Air-dry clay and sculpting tools

  • Mod Podge, washi tape, and double-sided tape

  • Jewelry-making supplies (beads, string, tools)

Pre-registration is encouraged but walk-ins are welcome.
