Cordele Dedication Ceremony 1-75 Interchange at U.S. 280, Exit 101 in memory of Johnny W. Floyd

CORDELE, Ga. – The City of Cordele is paying tribute to a beloved community leader with a special dedication ceremony at 10 a.m. tomorrow morning.

The I-75 Interchange at U.S. 280, exit 101, will be officially dedicated as the honorable Johnny Floyd Interchange, honoring a man who spent more than three decades making a difference locally and across Georgia.

Floyd spent 20 years in the Georgia General Assembly and 15 years on the State Transportation Board, where he championed rural development and infrastructure growth.

He represented counties like Crisp, Dooly, and Pulaski and held several leadership roles throughout his career.

The ceremony will take place outside the Fairfield Inn & Suites at 2001 16th Avenue East.
