South Georgia Weather Authority Forecast: May 29, 2025
Thursday’s showers and thunderstorms are winding down after dumping locally heavy rainfall that resulted in a few areas of urban and poor-drainage flash flooding. Late season cold front brings more widely scattered activity for Friday, but a better chance of severe weather with a Slight Risk encompassing most of SWGA. Sporadic damaging straight-line wind gusts is the primary threat, although hail and a brief tornado cannot be ruled out. Wonderful weekend in the works with cooler temperatures and lower humidity. Seasonably hot conditions return for the first week of June.
