Chilly start to Cinco De Mayo in the upper 40s and lower to middle 50s this morning. Warmer with increasing clouds through mid-week. Wetter and unsettled pattern sets up end of the week extending into Mother’s Day weekend. Rain and thunderstorms likely with 1″-3″ of rainfall expected areawide. Even with antecedent dry conditions there is a marginal risk of flash flooding. Temperatures trend cooler than average with daytime highs in the upper 70s. Rain chances lessen for Mother’s Day.
