CBS 44 Weather Authority Forecast: March 13, 2025

Thursday evening strong t’storms end. Patchy Fog developing. Warm and Windy Saturday. Winds sustained 15 – 25 mph with gusts as high as 40 mph at times. Severe weather expected roughly  from around 12 AM Midnight – 12 PM Noon Sunday. Tornadoes, damaging winds are the main threats, with large hail and flash flooding a lesser threat. Cooler and drier St. Patrick’s Day. Warmer mid-week. Next storm system arrives late next week.

Total Lunar Eclipse / Full Blood Worm Moon:

First in 3 years (last one in 2022). Thursday evening/Friday morning. The Moon will have a dusty, reddish color after Earth passes between the Sun and Moon casting a shadow onto the Moon.

Forecast for viewing: Mostly Cloudy skies, Patchy Fog developing.

For those interested or lucky enough to catch a break in cloud cover: Totality beings 2:25 am, peaks around 3:00 a.m., and ends around 3:30 a.m. eastern time.
