CBS 44 Weather Authority Forecast: March 3, 2025
Breezy and warm Tuesday. Windy and possibly wild Wednesday. Gusts could reach 25-35 mph+. It’s that time of year…the peak of the severe weather season. There’s a Slight Risk (level 2/5) that includes portions of SWGA with a Marginal Risk (level 1/5) for most of the area. Timing looks to be late Tuesday night through early Wednesday afternoon, but mainly early Wednesday. While the wind dynamics (especially speed wind shear) with this storm system are impressive, the thermodynamics or instability (storm energy) is more questionable. Storm mode appears to be a squall line. Stay with CBS 44 Weather Authority for updates! Rainfall totals will average 1/2″-1 1/2″. Cooler to end the week with another storm system and a chance of rain for first half of weekend.
Reminder! Spring Forward on Sunday, March 9th as Daylight Saving Time begins! Evenings will have more daylight and mornings less. Spring officially begins with Vernal Equinox on Thursday, March 20th, at 5:01 AM Eastern Time.
