Crisp’s qualifying municipal election candidates
As of Friday's closing date, Arabi and Cordele city races take shape

CORDELE, GA – We now know who will be campaigning for which seat as the deadline for qualifying candidates in Crisp’s upcoming municipal elections came to a close of business day Friday afternoon.
Three seats are up for grabs in Cordele’s city commission race including the Chairman at large post.
Incumbent John Wiggins, who two weeks ago announced his intent to step down, has had an obvious change of heart. Wiggins successfully qualified for his re-election bid Monday.
Joining Wiggins for the Chairman race is Devontae Hunt, Joshua Deriso and Ricky J. Redding.
In the Ward 2 contest, City Commissioner Royce Reeves Sr will face-off in his re-election bid against Ulysses Morgan.
Ward 3 City Commission incumbent Jeanie Bartee has two vying to replace her, as Don Cole and Isaac Owens have qualified to run.
In Arabi’s City Council races, Post 1 incumbent Larry Pate faces challenger William H. Scharfenberg; Post 2 Alan Douglas’ re-election bid will see Donald Spears as his opponent.
