Suspect in custody after Uber driver attacked in Albany

ALBANY, Ga. – In a separate incident yesterday, an Uber driver was attacked and robbed while picking up a passenger at Town Suites on Dawson Road.

Police say the suspect choked the driver with a seatbelt before stealing the car and fleeing.

The Miller County Sheriff’s Office later recovered both the car and the suspect.

Investigators are now working to confirm the suspect’s identity.
