City of Albany Administrative Offices to Remain Closed Thursday
ALBANY, Ga. – Due to dangerous road conditions, the City of Albany administrative offices will remain closed on Thursday, January 23, 2025. The City is currently expecting to resume regular business operations on Friday, January 24, 2025.
Albany Municipal Court Administrative Offices will be closed, and Night Court will be canceled. If you have a case to be heard on Thursday, your case will be rescheduled, and you will receive a
new court date in the mail. To pay your citation online, visit www.paymyticket.us.
Albany Transit will not be running buses on Thursday. There could be a delayed start on Friday, depending on road conditions. However, the Albany Transportation Center at 300 W. Oglethorpe Boulevard will remain open as a warming center. Thornton Gym at 210 Thornton Drive will also continue to remain open as a warming center for anybody who needs a place to get out of the
cold.
The Southwest Georgia Regional Airport Terminal will open at 10 a.m. for anyone who needs access to car rentals. The Airfield will open at 2 p.m. on Thursday as long as conditions improve
for aircraft.
Emergency services and first responders will be operating, and the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) is running virtually. For any weather-related questions or concerns, please call the EOC at
