Warming Centers Open ahead of Winter Storm

ALBANY, Ga. – Also, because of the inclement weather, the City of Albany will close its administrative offices tomorrow and Wednesday, and they plan to reopen their offices on Thursday.

Additionally, the Albany Transit will be running tomorrow morning, and will evaluate the safety of the roads through out the day.

The city is also opening their Transportation Center to act as a warming center all day starting today and going through Wednesday, and then overnight on Thursday and Friday. The center is located at 300 West Oglethorpe Road in Albany.

The City of Tifton will also be opening a warming station at 8 am tomorrow morning, and will remain open through Thursday.

It’ll be at the Tift County Recreation Department or Multi-Purpose Building, located at 401 Victory Drive in Tifton.
