CBS 44 Weather Authority Forecast: December 31, 2024

Mild to seasonably cool with a chill in the air to ring in 2025. No weather woes to contend with. Remember to celebrate safely and responsibly. Happy New Year!  Near freezing or frosty starts into the weekend. Brief warm-up with a chance of rain showers on Monday. Colder air follows with successive cold fronts. Very cold pattern is shaping up in about 10-15 days. Mid-January may bring some of the coldest temperatures in years since Christmas 2022 (teens) or perhaps even colder. Hard freezes do look likely. The first shot of really cold Arctic air will be around Thu./Fri./Sat. Jan. 9/10/11 into next weekend. It’s too early to know if there will be any winter mischief, but if you want it… this is the pattern!
