The Cakery to host Santa meet-and-greet & “make your own Christmas cookies” annual holiday event

ALBANY, Ga. – Now to a beloved annual tradition at a locally owned business, Mr. And Mrs. Claus will be paying a visit to The Cakery in Albany this Saturday.

This marks the fifth year of the event, where kids can meet Santa and Mrs. Claus while enjoying free hot chocolate.

Despite a change in ownership, the new owners were eager to continue this festive tradition.

In addition to the Claus meet-and-greet, The Cakery will be offering “Make your own Christmas cookies” kits and a variety of other sweet treats for the holiday season.

“Well, it’s a fun tradition. It’s a fun time of year. We love having Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus here. It’s a unique event. We always have a lot of people, a big turnout. It’s free for the community. And, we love giving back. Well, that’s that’s the season. The season is worth giving. I’ve been here all my life. And, it is the reason for the season is for Jesus and giving back. And, that’s what he did. And, that’s what we’re trying to do as well,” Lisa Burke, co-owner, The Cakery.

The event will take place from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. at 2206 Dawson Road in Albany.
