Tifton Financial Literacy Initiative hosts classes that empowers citizens with essential money management skills

TIFTON, Ga. – The City of Tifton is taking steps to empower its residents with the tools to manage their money wisely.

The Tifton Financial Literacy Initiative hosted its financial literacy classes.

The initiative aims to address critical issues in the community, such as poverty and low homeownership rates, by equipping residents with essential money management skills.

With 11 sessions to go until graduation, the program covers topics like building credit, asset management, and using financial resources effectively. Organizers say these lessons are empowering residents to make informed decisions about their financial futures.

But… the event wasn’t just about recognition, attendees were also treated to holiday prizes as a reward for their hard work and dedication throughout the year. The impact of the program speaks for itself, with 100% of attendees recommending the class to others.

Organizers hope that the skills learned here will create a ripple effect, transforming lives and uplifting the entire community.

The Tifton Financial Literacy Initiative plans to continue its classes in the new year, with the hope of expanding its reach and creating even more success stories.
