Cordele Lions Club hosts annual “Miracle on 7th Street” Christmas parade and tree lighting ceremony
CORDELE, Ga. – It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas in downtown Cordele.
The 2024 Cordele Lions Club Christmas parade brought the magic of the holidays to life with its theme, “Miracle on 7th Street.” The celebration transformed downtown Cordele into a scene straight out of a holiday movie, with festive floats, twinkling lights, and heartwarming displays that captured the essence of the season.
Families and friends lined south 7th street, eager to experience the joy and creativity of this cherished annual tradition.
The annual parade was a vibrant celebration of community pride, showcasing participants from marching bands, local churches, schools, local businesses, and even hometown heroes.
The festive atmosphere came alive with the sound of sirens and horns blending seamlessly with the laughter and applause of residents as the dazzling floats made their way down south 7th street.
A panel of judges kept a sharp sharp eye on the action, scoring entries in categories like best float, best theme, and more!
The celebration extended beyond Cordele, with participants from nearby communities like Albany and Vienna – all reflecting the heart of Cordele and South Georgia.
The festivities didn’t stop there. Right after the parade, families gathered at the Cordele Clubhouse for the annual Christmas tree lighting ceremony.
