Monroe sophomore basketball player sets milestone score for points per game
ALBANY, Ga. – KJ Acree has solidified her status as one of the top basketball players in South Georgia.
Last night, she made Monroe history by becoming the fastest player to score 1,000 career points. As just a sophomore, Acree averages an impressive 31 points per game.
Here’s the moment she hit the milestone, with fans erupting in celebration. The game paused to honor her incredible achievement and recognize her greatness on the court.
“Oh, it feels good. You know, first to do it. Well, not the first to do it, the fastest to do it. So, it feels good. Oh, it means a lot. It means I’m the best at, you know what I do. So, it feels good to, you know, make that stand out, you know, look good on. Just trying to, you know, keep a goal. You know, my goal is to have the most points. So, you know, just follow my goals and just remember who I am,” said KJ Acree, Monroe 1,000 point scorer.
Monroe Girls team next game is on the road at Calhoun county next Friday.
