Albany woman launches runway fashion show
ALBANY, Ga. – Moving our attention now to Albany…
Where one local woman is getting her organization ready for a first-time event.
The group, known as Level Up With Mz Mona, is getting ready to host their first brunch on the runway fashion show tomorrow afternoon.
Founder, Shimona Hollerman says the show will be a chance for local business owners to see clothing options available.
Hollerman spoke with us as they did a run-through of the fashion show this afternoon about what she’s looking to accomplish and the kids modeling the clothes.
“Well, Albany does have a lot of local vendors that are not getting noticed a lot around. And, it’s a lot of talent in Albany that we really want to be noticed. So, it’s a lot of local vendors that you will see tomorrow. They really would like to be noticed… at Level Up With Mz Mona, we encourage more self-esteem and for not the clothes to be the ultimate goal, but for self-esteem, to be what we push for. So, that’s what we push in level up. So, that’s what they learn from us,” said Shimona Holloman, founder, Level Up With Mz Mona.
The fashion show will take place at the Northwest Library in Albany tomorrow afternoon from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
