Albany Area Primary Health Care (AAPHC) to host Drive-Thru Health Fair tomorrow

ALBANY, Ga. – And, moving over to Albany, in the midst of the last week’s events, Albany Area Primary Health Care (AAPHC) is putting on one of their biggest events of the year.

The Drive-Thru Health Fair at the Exchange Club Fairgrounds is still on for tomorrow.

Albany Area Primary Health Care will be conducting blood pressure and vision screenings as well as giving away flu shots.

Primary Health Care’s Dr. Joycelyn Yates says that while it was created out of necessity during COVID, they’ve found it’s been an easier way to serve a large portion of the community at once.

“It’s just so easy access. So, it’s like a one stop shop right now. It is just easier for individuals to drive up in their car and get these things that they usually generally before had to get out of their car, walk to us to get their blood pressure done, to do vision screening, to do the HIV; we made it really just easy accessible where it is just a one stop shop…” said Dr. Joycelyn Yates, Chief Quality Officer, AAPHC.

The Drive-Thru Health Fair will run from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. this Saturday morning.
