CBS 44 Weather Authority Forecast: September 12, 2024

The last advisory has been written on Francine as it becomes post-tropical. The remnant outer bands have passed on through with drier air entrainment wrapping around into the circulation. Some redevelopment is possible although coverage will be more scattered and not as widespread. Flood Watch expires at 8 pm after it was trimmed back in time from Friday evening. Severe weather thankfully remained to our south along northern Gulf coast and offshore waters with waterspouts. Friday: a Marginal to Slight Risk of excessive rainfall that could produce isolated flash flooding. There is also a Marginal Risk for an isolated stronger t’storm with gusty winds the main threat although a brief tornado cannot be ruled out. Rain showers remain likely on and off this weekend. An additional 1″-2″+ is possible. Rain chances gradually taper off by the end of next week.
