Dougherty Co. 4-H Club appoints new director
ALBANY, Ga. – Staying in Dougherty county, for one local woman, today marked a full-circle moment as she was appointed to a new position in the county.
Jennifer Edwards from the University of Georgia’s Dougherty County Extension Office was appointed as the new director of the Dougherty County 4-H Club during Monday morning’s county commission meeting.
Edwards, who was once a part of 4-H while in the Dougherty County School System, shared what she is most excited to implement in her new role as director.
“I plan to have more activities here in the county to help build that leadership team. Leadership is my goal and building those life skills, public speaking skills and development is really what I want to do,” said Jennifer Edwards, Dougherty Co. 4-H Agent.
Edwards says she’s looking to show that 4-H has more to offer students than just agriculture-based programs.
