CBS 44 Weather Authority Forecast: June 11, 2024

Seasonal temperatures followed by hottest of the year so far. Monday was the warmest at 97° for Albany, GA but now forecast to be near record territory on Saturday around the century mark. Record is 104° set in 2011. It’s time to practice heat safety! Check the back seat! Take frequent breaks! Stay hydrated! Still hot on Father’s Day. Not expected to be prolonged with a return of seasonal temperatures and isolated rain chances. In the tropics, watching disturbance Invest 90L over FL Peninsula for low chance of development as it emerges off the SE U.S. Coast over the Western Atlantic in a few days. The first named storm develops on average around June 20th.
