Kraken Pro Wrestling Classic two day fundraiser event for Alzheimer’s Association
TIFTON, Ga. – A major fundraising event is going to be taking place in Tifton this weekend. And it’s going to be a large collaboration between the Alzheimer’s Association and a local pro wrestling promotion.
To Kraken Pro Wrestling promoter, Samuel Skaggs, he’s excited about the two day event featuring his promotion.
“It’s what we’re here for. In wrestling, there’s a lot of things you can do, there’s a lot of money to be made. And, with what I’m able to do, bring my connections together with all the great talent I know and I can bring in this building, or anywhere we run. I know that Kraken Pro Wrestling could be something that could be overall a great asset,” said Samuel Skaggs, Promoter, Kraken Pro Wrestling.
And, so is Larry Sikes, longtime volunteer with the Alzheimer’s Association whose optimistic about the show, given Samuel’s expecting over 300 people both days.
Especially after partnering with Skaggs and his wrestling promotion.
“After talking with him and how passionate he is, this is his dream. So, I said, ‘yeah, we gotta go with that,’ so I stood back and let him do his work,” said Larry Sikes, Volunteer, Alzheimer’s Association.
Kraken Pro Wrestling is planning to run a show Friday night as well as Saturday afternoon.
Both Skaggs and the Alzheimer’s Association want everyone to come out to support a good cause.
“…To see so many people helping out, and helping Sam with his dream and helping me get the word out to all these people, I’m just blown away,” said Sikes.
“I just want you to be here, I want you to experience this. I need you. I want everyone to come out. Whoever can see me, reach out to my hand, come to me and see Kraken Pro Wrestling,” said Skaggs.
As both the Alzheimer’s Association and kraken pro wrestling are finishing the set up, they want everyone to come out this weekend to not only support pro wrestling in Tift county, but a good cause as well.
The first show begins at 7 pm Friday. But if you can’t make it this evening, Kraken Pro Wrestling will be hosting the second show Saturday afternoon at 2 pm at the American Legion Fairgrounds in Tifton.
