Coffee Co. teenager’s clothing line “Today Will Be Better” apparel raises teen mental health awareness

DOUGLAS, Ga. – A Coffee County teen is trying to raise awareness about mental health in teens in the area. And, thanks to his clothing line, he’s working to try and break that stigma.

The young man in question is Ethan Kramer, a Coffee County High School student who started a clothing line called “Today Will Be Better.”

“So, today will be better is a brand that I created that supports teen mental health. And, all proceeds go to NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) Georgia, which is a mental health and wellness organization and nonprofit. So, the proceeds from the shirt go to the organization,” said Ethan Kramer, founder, “Today Will Be Better” apparel.

Kramer only started the line in 2023, and after a year of hard work, he was able to sign a proclamation to make March 1st Teen Mental Health Awareness Day in Douglas.

When asked about why he wanted to give back in the realm of mental health, Kramer says he’s seen plenty of people he cares about struggle.

“Members of my family have dealt with mental health issues, and I’ve seen people deal with mental health issues. And, I feel like this topic isn’t really talked enough. And, so, I thought that if I created something like this, then maybe I could help spark the conversation,” said Kramer.

And, in just over a years’ time, Kramer has done well in spreading the word throughout Coffee county…

Because he wants the conversation about mental health to also include a younger crowd.

“I think it just brings even more awareness, just the more expanded it gets, and I feel like through awareness to kids under the age of 18 and are younger that it helps spark the conversation,” said Kramer.

With the backing of the city of Douglas, young Ethan wants to see the message grow in the years to come.

“I want to see the brand keep going, and I like it inspiring this community itself. It’s really big around the education system throughout the schools and businesses. So, I feel like something like that is really good, incorporating it around Georgia, and under the age of 18 so that they can understand what mental health is and how to deal with it,” said Kramer.

Ethan says that after only a year, he’s excited to see the reach he has in Coffee county and wants nothing more than to see his message spread across other counties.

According to Kramer’s family, today will be better has raised over $4,500 dollars for NAMI Georgia.
