Cordele-Crisp Chamber of Commerce holds 74th annual dinner celebrating community and businesses
CORDELE, Ga. – Celebrating community and business collaboration, the Cordele-Crisp Chamber of Commerce holds its annual dinner.
In a joyous commemoration of their 74th annual dinner, the Cordele-Crisp Chamber of Commerce orchestrated a vibrant gathering that brought together the community, local leaders, and entrepreneurs for an evening brimming with joy, camaraderie, and networking opportunities.
Attendees enjoyed a heartwarming meal, and the ceremony that followed was equally heartening, with the chamber recognizing organizations and businesses that have dedicated their time and support not only to the Chamber, but also to the local community.
“So, we look back at the year that we’ve had and we base all the awards on that, on the accomplishments that we’ve had at the Chamber and who helped make a lot of that possible. I would just like to thank them. The Chamber has 414 members. We have two full time, two part time staff, and we need volunteers to help us. And, if we didn’t have those volunteers, we just wouldn’t be able to accomplish all the things that we have been able to accomplish for 74 years,” said Monica Simmons, President, Cordele-Crisp Chamber of Commerce.
Monica Simmons, president of the Cordele-Crisp Chamber of Commerce, shares insights on the Chamber’s community-centric initiatives and its ongoing efforts to contribute to the betterment of the community.
“There are so many things that the Chamber does. You know, we help small businesses with development and growing their business, helping them find the resources to start a business, grow a business, we have lots of events, a lot of them in town, a lot of them out here at the lake black shore resort. We’re always working to bring more people to Crisp county. Writing in the grant through Ag Georgia Farm Credit to help promote the Farmers Market, which is an economic thing that a lot of people don’t understand. We are just excited to be a part of all the good things that are going on and all the good things that we’re going to accomplish through this new Propel program and this new leadership class. Get involved and help us and make the community better because like I said, just a few people can’t do that. It takes us all working together. So, get on our team and help grow our community and make it the best it can be,” said Simmons.
