Nor’easter Southern Style this weekend! Strong low pressure system forms over the Gulf of Mexico tracks northward. Rainy and windy conditions late Saturday, particularly Saturday night into Sunday morning, gradually ending by early Monday morning. Winds 15-25 mph. Gusts could reach near or over 40 mph. It would be good idea to tie down or bring in any loose outdoor furniture or holiday decorations. 2″-4″ of rainfall especially east of where the center of the low tracks. Localized flash flooding with 1″-2″ per hour rainfall rates possible. Severe weather threat over Florida. Drier and much cooler air next week. Frigid temperatures are possible midweek in the upper 20’s with several mornings around freezing as Winter begins.
