CBS 44 Weather Authority Forecast: November 1, 2023

The combination of critical low relative humidity, breezy winds 10-15mph with gusts near 25mph, & the ongoing, worsening drought conditions is creating an elevated, high fire danger. DO NOT BURN! Watch those cigarette butts. Coldest night so far, first freeze & frost of the season tonight in SWGA. Protect tender vegetation/plants by covering them up or bringing them inside, make sure the pets have shelter, and bundle up as you head out the door Thursday morning. It won’t be a hard freeze so it’s not pipe bursting. Wind chills drop into the upper 20’s. Winds should turn relatively light or near calm for ideal radiational cooling. Don’t forget to “fall back” as Daylight Saving Time ends, Standard Time begins on 2 a.m. Sunday morning. Moderation in temperatures on the way.
