CBS 44 Weather Authority Forecast: October 9, 2023
It was a chilly start to Monday 10/9/2023 in SWGA after an ideal radiational cooling setup. Blakely & Cuthbert even dropped into the 30’s. One more cool night tonight before a rebound in temperatures then the chilly temps are back next week! Find the umbrella as moisture surges into southwestern Georgia from the Pacific Ocean, the Gulf of Mexico, & the Caribbean Sea. A wave of low pressure will first pass through the region late Wednesday-Thursday with several rounds of rainfall. Initially, the rain will be light, but a steady moderate to heavy rainfall may develop on Thursday. Then, a front arrives with possibly a few strong thunderstorms on Friday. The cold front will usher in another dry and chilly air mass for the weekend and much of next week.
