Cordele's Israel Walker is safe after reported missing

CORDELE, GA – The Cordele Police Department says it has found the senior citizen who went missing around midnight, as strong storms arrived in South Georgia overnight.

70 year old Israel Walker’s whereabouts were unknown when family members hadn’t seen him Thursday morning.

The senior citizen, who suffers from a form of undisclosed dementia, was last spotted shortly before midnight in the 500 block of 19th Avenue in Cordele.

A BOLO report was issued, and police say shortly after 8am, they found Walker, safe and unharmed.
