CBS 44 Weather Authority Forecast: August 15, 2023
More seasonal temperatures, briefly less humid, then a long dry stretch…
We’re still blistering in the sauna out there, but most of us will see some thunderstorms later this evening as a “cold front” nears. It won’t bring any cold air, but a brief break in the humidity. Less humid, seasonal temperatures, and lower rain chances for rest of the week.
99°-the hottest of the year so far & 1° shy of the record of 100° set in 2007-8/14/2023 in Albany, GA. Enjoy the brief break in the high humidity & slightly cooler temperatures while you can, because next week looks just as hot with possibly an extended stretch of dry conditions.
A refreshing, less humid air mass arrives briefly. Dewpoints in the 50’s-60’s a far cry from the 60’s-70’s even near 80 we have dealt with recently. Enjoy while you can…the humidity will return by the weekend!
Still really concerned of a “flash drought” the next 10 days in SWGA. Forecast is for <20% chance of rain for about a week’s time after tomorrow thru start of last week of August. Irrigate those crops, farmers!
