Structure fire in Plains Tuesday afternoon

Firefighters were on the scene at Buchanan Road early Tuesday afternoon as a structure fire started on a family's property.

PLAINS, Ga. – A Sumter County family is counting their blessings following a structure fire.

Firefighters were on the scene at Buchanan Road early Tuesday afternoon as a structure fire started on a family’s property.

Responders had the fire under control by the time CBS 44 cameras arrived on scene.

We spoke with the property owner about how the fire got started from a table saw and what he was able to salvage and save.

Thankfully, no one was hurt in the fire.
