Sen. David Perdue starts bus tour through SWGA in Albany
(ALBANY, GA) – As people lined up for early votes in Georgia’s runoff races for the U.S. Senate, Senator David Perdue met with local supporters Monday afternoon, and he’s encouraging people to cast their ballots in a crucial runoff election.
“What I’m focused on right now is January 5th, we have got to get our vote out, we’ll win this thing… We’re telling people that you can’t pout right now, you can’t be upset, you have to get out and vote. And we’re doing everything we can to plug the holes…,” says Senator Perdue.
The incumbent senator was joined not only by supporters in the Good Life City, but a close guest: his cousin, and former Governor of Georgia, Sonny Perdue.
The Secretary for the U.S. Department of Agriculture told those in attendance, “Obviously, this is a very vital election, I think many of us are used to hearing year after year ‘the most important election in our lifetime’ guess what? It’s here, not just cause it’s the last one…”
As Senator Perdue continues his bus tour throughout the state, he’ll be meeting with supporters across our region, and in some cases, hoping to change sway some opinions in a few counties.
He says, “Because there are Republicans right here in Dougherty County who believe like we do. There are some Democrats who believe like we do and they may have voted for Candidate Biden, but may not have been totally supportive of this left wing…”
Senator Perdue is running against Jon Ossoff who will be stopping in Albany later this week.
