CBS 44 Weather Authority Forecast: April 25, 2023

3 rounds of rain/t-storms through the weekend

Still looking at an unsettled pattern the rest of the week. The activity will come in 3 rounds as a frontal boundary moves east with waves of energy riding along it until a potent cold front clears us out and cools us down over the weekend. First round comes Wednesday evening with widely scattered showers and possibly a few thunderstorms, some of which may become strong with heavy downpours and gusty winds. Another round comes Thursday evening that will be more widespread than Wednesday’s activity. There could also be a few strong storms with this round with the same primary threats. A few showers on Friday. Drier and warm on Saturday before the final round comes sometime late Saturday heading into Sunday. Timing for the third round is more uncertain, so check back for updates, but there could be strong to severe storms with this. There continues to be a consensus that below average temperatures will take us into the start of May.
