Students made signs and wore camo to show their support, but Henderson’s teachings truly shined when students began requesting Barker for his autograph…

‘That’s awesome.. I have never had that happen before. So being able to come here, surprise not only my son but allowing kids to see that for the first time, I think that’s truly awesome, so I’m glad I was able to do it,” said Eric Barker, Chief Warrant Officer 4, U.S. Army.

After deployments in South Korea, Iraq and Afghanistan, Barker is home for good and says the biggest thing on his to-do list is…

“There’s a lot of catching up to do. So, probably take a little mini-vacation. We still have to move our things up to our new station. But, yeah, spending time with the kids and try to catch up on things I’ve missed. And, then, eventually I’ll have to go back to work, back to the grind, but, in between, that’s what we’ll be doing,” said Eric Barker, Chief Warrant Officer 4, U.S. Army.
