Baker County church holding back to school drive Saturday

(NEWTON, GA) – A local church is gearing up to help Baker County students going back to school.

The Thankful Baptist Church in Newton will be holding a back to school drive at their church Saturday afternoon at 2:30 to give out school supplies as well as extra masks.

The event’s organizer says that they’ll be taking donations until two o’clock Saturday, and that while they’re still asking for donations, they’re thankful for being able to give back to the community.

“It’s god’s blessing to always give back and help others out in their time of need. and we at Thankful are just truly blessed to be able to give something to the community itself,” says organizer, Mashea Green.
