4th teen arrested in Albany senior citizen shooting
D'Amerius Lawrence also charged in gun theft & shooting in separate incident

ALBANY, GA- A fourth suspect has now been arrested in last month’s shooting that left a 76 year old Albany woman suffering a gunshot wound as well as two juveniles who were hit by gunfire.
Albany Police Public Information Officer Phyllis Whitley-Banks confirms the APD’s Gang Unit arrested and charged 18 year old D’Amerius Lawrence Wednesday at his home.
All three suspects previously arrested for the shooting have been juveniles.
Police say Lawrence is also being charged in a separate shooting that occurred August 24th at a Malone Drive residence.
In that incident, Lawrence is alleged to have stolen a woman’s gun and fired it at her and children as she tried reclaiming the firearm from the suspect.
At last report, Lawrence was being held in the Dougherty County Jail on multiple charges which include aggravated assault, gang participation and theft by taking.
