Tifton Multimedia Paint and Play
TIFTON, Ga. – Who said one has to stop playing once they grow up? In one unique art class, students learn to create by using the art of play.
Students will develop their own creative skill sets using sculpture paste and acrylic paints to bring their artwork alive with 3-D painting.
Basic color theory will be taught to help students visualize the differences and similarities between colors, and different therapeutic techniques will be demonstrated for use during the creative process and in everyday life.
This month’s project is to create a piece dedicated to autism awareness. Students 16 and older can participate, and the cost is $35 to attend. All materials will be supplied by the instructor. Students will have a chance to win a one-of-a-kind handmade earring set or keychain by adding their name in a drawing at the end of class. The student must be present to win.
The class, sponsored by Tifton Council for the Arts, takes place on Tuesday, April 28th from 5:30 to 7:30 P.M. at the Main Street Art Studio in Tifton. Visit tiftonarts.org/multimedia to register.
