Summer Reading Kick-Off Party In Cairo Saturday Morning
CAIRO, Ga. – Get ready for a prehistoric-sized celebration as Roddenbery Memorial Library launches Summer Reading 2026: Unearth a Story! Families are invited to the Grady County Splash Pad for an exciting morning packed with splash pad fun, surprises, treats, and the official start of their biggest summer reading adventure yet.
Children can enjoy the splash pad, receive a free book and personalized name badge when registered, and earn their first activity badge. They will learn about this summer’s performers, prizes & surprises, and enjoy treats for registered participants. Concessions will be available for purchase from Scoop Dawgs as well.
Families should scan the QR code to register or visit: www.rmlibrary.org Once registered, all Summer Reading programs and activities throughout the summer are free. From dinosaurs and discovery to live performers, hidden surprises, and huge grand prizes sponsored by the Friends of the Library – this summer is going to be unforgettable. Participants should bring their towels, sunscreen, and get ready for a roaring good time!
The Summer Reading Kick-Off Party takes place Saturday, June 6, from 10:00a.m. until noon at the Grady County Splash Pad, located at 45 Long Branch Road in Cairo.
