Students Can Unearth a Story in Cairo This Summer

CAIRO, Ga. – Youngsters can sign up for an expedition to Unearth a Story in Grady County this summer. The dig site is located at Roddenbery Memorial Library in Cairo, and kids will discover a treasure trove of fun educational activities.

The library’s summer reading program runs from June 1st through July 7th, and participants will enjoy live performers, themed story times, steam activities, discovery labs, and special events for all ages. The program is designed to keep kids engaged during summer break while helping prevent the “Summer Slide,” the learning loss that can happen over the summer months.

Registration is required, and all summer reading program activities are free. Participants will also receive a free book and personalized name badge while supplies last.
