State and local legislators recognize Primary Health Care
(ALBANY, Ga)- State and local legislators came together in Downtown Albany Tuesday morning as part of National Health Centers Week.
Officials were able to hear from the Albany Area Primary Care Network about the impact they and other health centers have across the nation.
We spoke with State Senator Freddie Powell Sims about what these health centers mean to communities like Albany.
Senator Sims says, “They are the ones who have put it all together for many many years. Without having adequate resources sometimes. So they have been around the clock workers trying to make our communities healthier.”
This week is the 40th annual National Health Care Centers Week.
