Second Harvest Food Bank in need of volunteers for Stamp Out Hunger

(ALBANY, Ga)- The Second Harvest Food Bank is looking for volunteers as they get set for their Stamp Out Hunger Program on Saturday the 11th.

It’s one of the nation’s largest food drives, and second harvest needs help getting the food from drop off sites at post offices back to the warehouse.

Second Harvest’s Chief Marketing Officer, Eliza McCall says it’s one of the busiest food drives they have during the year.

McCall tells us, “This is in its 27th year, and so people can expect to see blue bags in their mailboxes here in the next couple of days, probably Thursday or Friday. And take that, put non-perishable canned food items, and leave out for your mail carrier.”

If you’re interested in volunteering with Second Harvest on Saturday, you can contact them at (229) 244-2678 ext. 304
