Remains of missing Moultrie woman found near Coolidge

Thomas County deputies say remains found last month come back as missing persons case from Colquitt County

MOULTRIE, GA – The Thomas County Sheriff’s Office is extending it’s condolences to a Colquitt County family, as the remains from an April discovery are identified as those of a missing Moultrie woman.

55 year old Tracy Gleason was first reported missing back on November 30, 2018. She was last seen at a local package store.

Last month, human remains were found in a wooded area of Thomas County, off SR 188 and Enon Rd.

Today, Thomas County authorities say a GBI investigation has determined the remains are Gleason’s, but a cause of death has yet to be determined.

“The Thomas County Sheriff’s Office would like to offer its condolences to the Gleason family and hopes this knowledge will provide them some comfort and closure on the whereabouts of their missing loved one,” stated the press release.
