Poulan Farm Session at Dollison Farms

POULAN, Ga. – Calling all young farmers! The Youth Cattle Club gives kids the chance to learn about cattle, livestock, and the business of farming. Saturday, April 18,  from 9 A.M. through 11 A.M., youngsters between 10 and 18 years old can take part in a structured farm-based leadership program designed to teach young people how agriculture really works.

Participants learn how livestock is raised, processed, and sold, and how to understand costs, pricing, and the responsibility of taking care of animals. Students participate in livestock feeding and care, daily farm responsibilities, record keeping, and basic farm business concepts. These lessons will help students develop confidence, discipline, and leadership skills.

Through workshops, interactive activities, and practical training sessions, participants will gain a comprehensive understanding of the entire beef production process, and experienced instructors will guide the kids every step of the way. Youth Cattle Club emphasizes the importance of ethical and sustainable farming practices, ensuring that the animals are treated with the utmost care and respect throughout their lifecycle.
