Nature Quest Takes Flight in Alapaha Saturday

ALAPAHA, Ga. – Springtime brings out some of the best in nature as leaves emerge from the trees and flowers come out in full bloom. It’s also a great time to observe our fine-feathered friends in their natural environment.

That’s exactly what students will be doing at Gaskins Forest Education Center in Alapaha this Saturday morning between 9 A.M. and noon.

The Nature Quest series is back, and it focuses on native birds in the wild. This outdoor adventure is a great opportunity for kids to learn about Georgia’s birds in their natural habitat.

Biologists and volunteers will be there to work with children in small groups, and parental attendance is required. Attendees should wear protective clothing and bring water and snacks.

This class is free to the public, and participants should register ahead of time. To register, call 229-339-3966, or email heather.brassell@gmail.com.
